Overview

Position Description:

The Product Acquisition & Deployment Directorate (PADD), within DHS DNDO, has a requirement for Program/Science and Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) to support multiple programs developing and fielding equipment to USBP, USCG, TSA, USSS and other DHS Components.​ Duties involve writing program acquisition policy and strategy, serving as the leads for drafting acquisition program documents, integrating requirements with operational users, supporting program test development, and developing systems logistics and sustainment plans for complex radiation detection systems . These SETAs also serve as the lead advisors and communicators for the Federal PMs and work with DHS HQ and all DHS operational components. Each Program also has high level government interest and oversight and requires the preparation of congressional testimony and frequent audit query responses.

 

G2 Global Solutions is seeking an experienced Acquisition Program Management Support Specialist to provide acquisition policy and strategic planning support as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will be able to assist in the management of multiple simultaneous programs in various stages of the acquisition process, from concept to technology transition to end user organizational components. This role requires familiarity with the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process and its integration with government acquisition requirements.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Provide programmatic assistance in the planning, acquisition, development, test & evaluation, delivery, installation and deployment of systems to support the global and domestic radiation and nuclear detection architecture.
  • Lead, monitor, and track program cost, schedule and technical performance.
  • Assist in the preparation of acquisition documentation, executive level program status briefing materials, technical instructions, program sustainment documents, program documents for Department Headquarters and Congressional Review.

Tasks to be performed include, but are not limited to, the following:

Work with multi-functional team on site in preparting acquisition documents (i.e. Acquisition Plan, Acquisition Program Baseline, Program/Project Plans, Mission Needs Statement, CONOPS etc.) in accordance with DHS Acquisition Directive 102-01 for systems/equipment to support the global and domestic radiation and nuclear detection architecture.

Draft and coordinate integrated program schedules for all activities associated with the acquisition, development, test, evaluation, delivery, installation and deployment of systems/equipment for the global and domestic radiation and nuclear detection architecture. Provide inputs for the Concept of Operations Document, Test Requirements Documents, Test Plans and Field Validation Test Plans.

Assist Program Manager in developing program execution requirements to support annual and out year budget reviews for the FYHSP and Congressional Justification.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in engineering, science or management science.
  • At least 20 years of Program/Project management experience with the planning, acquisition, development, test & evaluation, delivery, installation and deployment of systems to support the global and domestic radiation and nuclear detection architecture.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of federal government acquisition policies with specific expertise in sustainment planning and technology transition.
  • Demonstrated experience interacting professionally with multiple government agencies and industry partners.
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Current Active DOD Secret security clearance and ability to obtain DHS Suitability required
